Bop Stop Studios took the plunge into an installation of the hottest new Focusrite REDNET sound over ethernet AD/DA interface system.  It utilizes Cat 6 ethernet cables as the conduit into the DAW at stunning speeds and with audiophile grade AD/DA conversion!  While sound over ethernet and the REDNET system have been used as a staple in the broadcast arena, the REDNET system ultimately provides the flexibility and accuracy in sound required for some the very best audio.  Although we are a small 3 room studio, we installed 32 individual microphone/line channels!  We switched from using over 20 mic preamp pairs and individual modules to 4 8 channel units of the highest quality, Grace Designs M802r, Millennia Media HD3R, Aphex 1788A, and Focusrite Rednet 4, all remotely controlled units!

We also made significant investments in our microphone collection.  We added a stereo pair of Coles 4050, Stereo pair of Samar MF65, a Neumann KM84 SDC with Vocal Attachment, a stereo pair of B&O BM3, a second Stereo B&O BM5, stereo pair of Beyerdynamic MCE81NC, a M260, and a pair of Opus MC53!!

Also picked up a Hand-wired 18 watt VHT STD. Tube guitar amplifier and a Cool GK MBS112 Bass amplifier.

We added a fees more personal HearBack Technologies headphone mixers.  These allow for paired individual mixes of the DAW mix, and 4 stereo channels.

Lastly, we are still in the process of minor construction on our studio acoustics.  We have made some significant changes and advancements and are still fine tuning out implementation.
