CLICK ON Video for Audio from first single.

Really great to work recording the group "City of Four" for an EP album, led by Saxophonist Mike Caudill featuring Christian Tremblay (keyboard), Phil Chuah (bass), Caleb Davis (drums).  This improvisational, funk, jazz group really brings the spirit, creativity, and a tightness only derived from playing together extensively and sharing common musical energies.

Enjoy this audio clip of the group of a single from the EP Album Release "Ready About" : Northern Lights by City of Four

Keep an eye out for the release of more tracks from this recording and be sure to check out City of Four live.  They regularly perform on the Boston Harbor Cruises and around the New England area.  I look forward to working again with this dynamic and just great sounding group.  Certainly a bunch of great guys and you can feel the friendship and common musical focus right away.

You can connect with Mike at his website www.mikecaudillmusic.com  He is a super talented guy.  In addition to playing Sax and Ewi, composing, and leading group, Mike also is a highly proficient audio engineer and he mixed the recordings!!

Jazz Trio Recordings - w/ Will Lyle, Rina Yamasaki, and Julian Pardo at Bop Stop Studios

A Great Pleasure to work with Bassist, Will Lyle and the trio with Rina Yamazaki (Piano), Julian Pardo (Bass).  Fortunate to have worked with Will and Rina maybe a year or two ago and awesome meeting and working with Julian Pardo!  I am sure if you know Will, Rina, and Julian you already know their tremendous musicianship and furthermore, what kind and positive people they all are.  To me that's just a winning combination, as the tacks they recorded exemplify that energy and of course highlight their instrumental and musical abilities.

Many Thanks to Will, who returned to Bop Stop, as he now lives in Los Angeles, where is active teaching and performing.  A testament to his dedication and professional focus to put together a recording session with these fine players, while visiting NY, Boston, etc....

Keep an eye out for some awesome dynamic Jazz tracks from the recordings and they will have a couple of videos as well!!

Enjoy the pics below from the session, including the first, which is the all important millennial media meeting:)

Recording Avant Garde Free Quartet Recordings with Guitarist, Ryan Carraher - Featuring Erik Van Dam (Saxes), Louis Alexander Gasser (Bass), and Rory Walsh (Drums)

Just awesome working with Guitarist, Ryan Carraher again.  Had the great pleasure of recording Ryan and this super DYNAMIC and Creative Group!!  If you don't know Ryan's playing be sure to check out his music at www.ryancarraher.com!!  Outside of his incredible guitar work, his sound and playing is just years and years ahead of his age.  The group features Erik Van Dam on saxophones, who I have been thoroughly enjoying working with on several projects.  Erik's playing is just monstrous, skillful, and creative every time and very proud to be working with him and his music.   Ryan and Erik had the good sense of bringing Alexander and Rory, resulting in an energy of synergy and freedom!  Alex's Bass sound and tasteful playing was a great match with Ryan's guitar work and Rory added tasteful and dynamic drumming and a range of percussive textures, that were supportive, expressive, and musical.  The recordings carried an air of concessive creativity that the group slipped right into and was unwavering throughout.

Excited to be  apart of sharing this Excellent Music!! Keep an eye out for the upcoming album release.

Manys thanks to Ryan, Erik, Alex, and Rory!!!

Sax and Piano Duet Recordings with Erik Van Dam and Evan Waaramaa at Bop Stop Studios

It has been a great pleasure working with Erik Van Dam and Evan Waaramaa on some really fantastic piano sax duet recordings.  Their sessions covered both an album of Jazz Standards and and album of Free Improvisation Jazz.  Outside of Erik's Monstrous Sax sound and technical proficiency, it becomes quickly obvious that he and Evan have collaborated often across various types of music and I enjoyed hearing Evan play the piano here:).  Combined with Evan's Class piano playing, the duo engaged quickly into synergistic grooves, concepts, and sonic textures.  I felt them musically lock in together after a few minutes and I think you will like the musical results.  It certainly has been a pleasure working on the music!

Keep an eye out for the release of these dynamic, expressive, and I think highly captivating albums!!

Awesome to record an album for Erik Van Dam and Ryan Carraher.  If you know these cats then you know they have serious chops and furthermore they recorded their fantastic free improvisational explorations here at Bop Stop Studios.  Erik's huge Sax tone and crushing lines were a great blend with Ryan's guitar textures and harmonies.  Talented players and shared musical perspectives combined to create a wonderful album.  I thoroughly enjoyed recording, mixing, and mastering this album's creative and masterful music.
I will update regarding the albums release and be sure to check out these artists performing around the Boston and New York areas.

Recording Alto, Soprano, Clarinet, and Flute with Richard Garcia - Classical Piano/Sax Duet, Jazz Quartet, and Solo Excerpts at Bop Stop Studios. Jiarong Li (Classical Piano), Chris McCarthy (Jazz Piano), Simon Willson (Bass), Avery Logan (Drums).

Great to work/record again with Sax talent Richard Garcia!!  Richard really displayed his range, tremendous control, and musical depth for a submission project involving Classical Piano/Sax duets, Jazz Quartet pieces, and a bevy of solo flute, clarinet, alto sax, and soprano sax excerpts!  Of course Richard brought the heavy cats for accompaniment for the classical piano duets with Jiarong Li and trio section of Chris McCarthy, Simon Willson, and Avery Logan.  Always great to record talent like this and this type of submission would not be possible without Richard's high level of determination, organization, and perspective on bringing all the pieces together with such excellence and precision.

Few session videos to follow shortly!!!!

If you haven't please do check out Richard's music at www.richardgarciamusic.com

And all these AWESOME PLAYERS are also on FaceBook!!

A Great Pleasure working/recording with Trombonist, Leo Fish and his Jazz Quintet.  Currently he and his group are Berklee Students and are already both at a point of authority on their instruments and putting together some great music!  The group consisted of Leo Fish on Trombone, Zach Gilbert on Clarinet and Tenor Sax, Bernard Jonathan on Piano, Miles Burger on Bass, and Doug Choi on Drums.  A joy to work with both of these talented and professional musicians.  Keep an eye out for the release of this recorded music. Leo's compositions are dynamic, well developed, and musical.  Certainly these musicians will be putting out lots of excellent music while at Berklee and way beyond........

A Great Pleasure recording vocalist Maria Amalia Quesada and pianist Jose Soto.  The session was focused on a submission to Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation and Maria and Jose brought some gorgeous songs with excellent arrangements.  A joy to work with both of these talented, professional, and warm people.  They are a wonderful couple and very glad to have had the opportunity to work with them both.  A couple videos from the session are posted to YouTube and I will put a link for them.  I am sure you will appreciate both Maria's vocal renditions and Jose's tasteful accompaniment.  Certainly a bright future for these artists and I look forward to working with them in the future, seeing their careers blossom, and watch them share their great music. :)
