Proud to have worked with each of the artists and groups in developing these wonderful album releases.

Being a part of sharing musical expressions is the true joy of working in music production.
To capture and archive their music for fans, friends, family, and themselves is a very powerful and valuable experience.  I have deep gratitude for all of them for working with me!

"Blue Nights"
Tristan Bouchard

New Album Release "Blue Nights"  by singer/songwriter pianist, Tristan Bouchard. I had the unique pleasure of recording vocals with Ryan McDowell and mixing most of the tracks.  Most of these songs were 100+ tracks as you can hear the many layers and colors that Tristan uses in these dynamic and creative compositions.  As with all my clients, I lived with the music for a period of time and enjoyed the emotional journey each of these songs took me on.  Great working with you Tristan and congratulations on a wonderfully expressive and musically rich album!

So Proud of this album by the Creative and Musical Ryan McDowell!

Ryan started hanging with me as an intern, but within a very short period became more of a collaborator as he began engineering sessions and producing his own music.  I had the chance to record the vocals and piano tracking with Ryan on this incredible Album.  I really do dig these tracks, so please have a listen and enjoy!

With Great Pleasure a New Album Release: "Sonic Landscapes" by Evan Waaramaa and Erik Van Dam
I am sure many of you have seen Evan Waaramaa and Erik van Dam perform in a wide range of both musical settings and instrumental configurations. Perhaps the most direct and insightful view into their musical minds is this newly released Free Improvisational Duet Album. It carries a vibe and cohesive spirit that can only come from years of musical adventures together. I can describe the spirit here as Dynamic Quietness.

Double CD Album Release "Boundless" by Satigata

Buddhist-based Acoustic Music centered on Spirituality, Mindfulness, and a Greater Well-being through Sound
Picture
"Satigata, “mindful song” or “chant,” is a unique blend of modern rock, folk, and Buddhist-oriented “kirtan” dedicated to opening the heart of devotion and practice, and inspiring wisdom through contemplative music and interactive chanting."

Well, I can say since beginning my own journey on this audio production road, I have been blessed by each and every one of the excellent musicians and the inspired music that they come to share.  But to say my work with Satigata has been monumental for me would be an understatement.  From the moment of meeting Chris, Darren, Andrew, Alana, and Michael I felt the warm, and inviting energies they all exude, despite the fact that Chris Berlin is Harvard Divinity School faculty and that they were all affiliated through Harvard (just kidding).  This debut double album with Satigata was a relatively extensive project where we worked together recording and mixing over several months.  I had the opportunity to record, mix, and master this music and I am very grateful for them entrusting with being a part of the production of this excellent music!!
I can honestly say I enjoyed each and every minute working with them and on their music.  Getting to knowing Chris and Darren, quickly highlights the connection between their music and their hearts and minds!  Furthermore, it might be impossible not to feel the therapeutic powers of their remarkable music and there were many instances where their music had effects in my life.  I honestly hope you all check out this exciting double album, as I think it potentially might have a profound effect!

Hope u listen and enjoy!!!!

Really great to work with the group "City of Four" for an EP album, led by Saxophonist Mike Caudill featuring Christian Tremblay (keyboard), Phil Chuah (bass), Caleb Davis (drums).  This improvisational, funk, jazz group really brings the spirit, creativity, and a tightness only derived from playing together extensively and sharing common musical energies.

"Eclipservent"
by Guitarist, Ryan Carraher and Saxophonist, Erik Van Dam
Featuring Alex Gasser (Bass) and Rory Walsh (Drums)

Thrilled for Ryan Carraher, Erik van Dam, Alex Glasser, and Rory Walsh and the release of their NEW ALBUM, "Eclipsevent". It is comprised of Free Improvisational Avant Garde instrumentals that are packed full of fantastic playing, creativity, and interplay.

I think the music can captivate listeners from a wide range of musical interests. I thoroughly enjoyed working with them on it and enjoy just listening to it regularly since its development.
Please have a a listen, I think you will enjoy!

As I mentioned in t e previous post,
"Outside of his incredible guitar work, his sound and playing is just years and years ahead of his age. The group features Erik Van Dam on saxophones, who I have been thoroughly enjoying working with on several projects. Erik's playing is just monstrous, skillful, and creative every time and very proud to be working with him and his music. Ryan and Erik had the good sense of bringing Alexander and Rory, resulting in an energy of synergy and freedom! Alex's Bass sound and tasteful playing was a great match with Ryan's guitar work and Rory added tasteful and dynamic drumming and a range of percussive textures, that were supportive, expressive, and musical. The recordings carried an air of concessive creativity that the group slipped right into and was unwavering throughout."

Below is Ryan's FB artist page, you can connect with him there and at his website www.ryancarraher.com

"Moonglow"

The is a first single from an upcoming album release by Vocalist, Stephen Smith and Guitarist, Jon Wheatley!
I think you'll agree that it is a creamy tasteful Jazz Duet!
I have been working with Stephen Smith for some time now and we have been developing numerous albums, soon to be released from Stephen's treasure trove of recordings!!

While Stephen's tremendous voice is quickly evident, I think it will become clear that Stephen has tremendous musical range and some highly developed musical taste that he has been out singing for many years!!!
Jon Wheatley, as most know is just an outstanding and remarkable Jazz guitarist and music educator.  He is currently an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music.  Jon's technique and musical depth is only outshines by his tremendous taste and musicality!!  I usually sit with my mouth dropped while mixing:)

"Raineater"
by Ryan Carraher and Erik Van Dam

New Release of the album, "Raineater" by Ryan Carraher and Erik van Dam!!

Not sure I could describe this album any better than quoting a section of it's notes.

"This is the raw sound of experimentation. The capture of the ever-elusive Muse. Now trapped like a bug in Amber and presented for display.
This is "Raineater".
A collection of music recorded by saxophonist Erik van Dam and guitarist Ryan Carraher. No musical pre determinations were made. The music presented here is music that was simply allowed to unfold on its own."

I will however reiterate that I thoroughly enjoyed working with Erik and Ryan and their outstanding playing and great music!!!

A couple of videos from Steve Bilodeau's killin trio. "Storm" and In the Midst" are tracks from an upcoming release of the album "the Sun Through the Rain". The album is comprised of pure improvisational pieces and this trio certainly has the technical, musical, and most of all the interactive spirit of free jazz.

"Beginning of the Light"

Picture
New Age Piano Recordings composed an performed by Eri Saito.
This is the second album I have been fortunate enough to work with Eri Saito on and the album of her original solo piano compositions truly touches the emotion and consciousness of Eri's spirit!  I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it.  An additional aspect of gratification comes from the fact that the album was developed thru a successful KickStarter built on the gracious support of Eri's friends, family, and listeners. I know for Eri and myself, these aspects and sentiments will always live in this music. Congrats again Eri!

Album: Dear My Life
Composed by: Eri Saito
Played by: Eri Saito
Recorded/Mixed/Mastered by: George Trksak at Bop Stop Studios
Dear My Life is my first album, where I reflect on my life since leaving my family and friends in Japan to go live in the United States. The emotions I expresses through my music relate to my relationship with my family, having to move forward with my life, and supporting my loved ones from afar. I hope this album will sooth others and provide optimism in their lives. Recording solo piano for Eri Saito's exquisite solo piano compositions was a great pleasure for us.  She is a truly elegant composer and talented pianist, which is evident in her debut album "Dear My Life".  The array of of sound textures conjured in her pieces both emphasize her performance skill and bring her personal messages to prominence in the music.  She is most certainly an artist to follow.
Please have a listen, visit her website, and buy her excellent and expressive album.  She also become a fan as she may be performing in the New England Area.  It was our great pleasure to record and work with Eri on this album and outside of enjoying the music she has created, we can't wait to hear the next compositions of this prolific artist.
