The Piano is a Kawai KG-5, 6 foot 8 inch semi concert grand. Built during the golden age of Japanese piano building and it was chosen for its clear and articulate voice that is extremely well suited for Jazz, Contemporary, and certain types of Classical piano music. It has very responsive action and a cohesive/full bodied sound.
Fortunate to have the mechanical maintenance of the piano performed by James Nicoloro of www.eastcambridgepiano.com. James has been a Top demand piano technician in Boston and New England for many years and a fine musician as well.

Piano suite![]() The Piano Suite was developed to provide a natural acoustic environment for Piano Solo, Duets, Trios, and up to 5 or 6 musicians.
In Addition to top flight equipment/instruments, by far the most significant investment has been the acoustics and sound treatment. The comprehensive sound treatment provides isolation and controlled environment for piano recordings. It is a unique design/implementation in that NONE of the acoustics are permanent or anchored to the walls or ceiling. The floor, walls, and ceiling are free standing and spot diffusion and refraction allows for balancing the liveliness of the room. The result is a musical environment that is comfortable, intimate, and conducive to creativity and musical interaction. |
