New Age Piano Recordings with Eri Saito, "Beginning of the Light"
composed an performed by Eri Saito.
Just a couple of tracks from the full album release:)
This is the second album I have been fortunate enough to work with Eri Saito on and the album of her original solo piano compositions truly touches the emotion and consciousness of Eri's spirit! I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it. An additional aspect of gratification comes from the fact that the album was developed thru a successful KickStarter built on the gracious support of Eri's friends, family, and listeners. I know for Eri and myself, these aspects and sentiments will always live in this music. Congrats again Eri!

Jazz Duet Demos with Raynel Shepard - Vocals and Joe Reid - Piano December 2015
|
I have been fortunate to have done some recordings with Joe Reid this last year. We are continuing tweaking the room acoustics and recording approaches and Joe was the first to work with our new piano. Certainly a great pleasure working with Raynel Shepard. She imparted her smokey sparkling voice throughout the sessions and I look forward to more recordings with Raynel in the near future.
You can listen to one of the tracks here, "Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most" lyrics by Fran Landesman, music by Tommy Wolf. |

It was a great pleasure to provide the recording and impromptu video recording for the JAZZ FUSION QUARTET RECORDING SESSION - for the piece "COASTS" COMPOSED BY VAIBHAV MOHANTY. Vaibhav while now beginning his journey to studies at Harvard University this Fall 2015, he has already composed and had his pieces performed at some wonderful concert halls in the US. He is certainly a talented and eclectic musician, composer, and artist.
This piece "Coasts" was composed based upon the Odissi Raga Bajrakanti an Indian Classical raga and it performed by this jazz quartet that included:
Anton Derevyanko - Tenor Saxophone Michael Wooten - Piano
Conner Duke - Bass Benny Woodard - Drums

It was a great pleasure to record with Dan Fox and the wonderful musicians he brought. I have had the pleasure of recording Dan before for a Guitar Bass duet, and the opportunity to record with him on trombone was another session to look forward to. Of course, Dan comes prepared and with his musicians in two hours, they produced four demo tracks with just two takes each. Despite being short, it was a joy to record these fine musicians and it is our first recordings with our new Focusrite Rednet system as well as utilizing some of our new microphone acquisitions. The result was some creamy intimate jazz recordings.

Mike Duke - Guitar
Conner Duke - Double Bass

Recording solo piano for Eri Saito's exquisite solo piano compositions was a great pleasure for us. She is a truly elegant composer and talented pianist, which is evident in her debut album "Dear My Life". The array of of sound textures conjured in her pieces both emphasize her performance skill and bring her personal messages to prominence in the music. She is most certainly an artist to follow. Please have a listen, visit her website, and buy her excellent and expressive album. She also become a fan as she may be performing in the New England Area. It was our great pleasure to record and work with Eri on this album and outside of enjoying the music she has created, we can't wait to hear the next compositions of this prolific artist.
